New Photos on Flickr
25 APR 2006
Howdy all, not sure if anyone still checks here for a healthy update of travel pics, but for those of you that do I've started posting pics on flickr at http://www.flickr.com/photos/62903490@N00/ .
I may at some stage sort it out so they are viewable here as well but until then check there. Might be time for a redesign here as well.....I can dream can't I!!

One Year
24 APR 2005
Well Tuesday marks our one year anniversary of arriving in the UK. We've had a fantastic time so far and are looking forward to the next year and what travels it may bring.
I've just uploaded photos of our trip to Spain. They seem a little light in terms of the amount of time we spent there, but there should be enough in there to give yourselves an idea of what you’re missing out on. Also in case you missed them the shots of our trip up to Leeds and Christmas in Amsterdam are also tucked away in the gallery. Anyway that’s it for now, be sure to drop us an email if you visit the site. Ciao.

Well we've finally thawed out enough from our 3 days in Stockholm to upload the photos.
Stockholm was a beautiful city enhanced by the recent snowfall that covered everything in sight with a thick layer of powdery ice. At times the temps dropped to -9 (-14 wind chill ) and our faces felt frozen, but we soldiered on and saw a lot of the inner-city including Gamla Stan ( old town ) and Skansen the open air museum. We stayed on an old boat converted into a hostel on the Lake Maleren, which was quite cosy. Next stop is Amsterdam for Christmas, I need say no more ;)
The French Connection
17 OCT 2004
Hey everyone, well we have just spent an amazing three days in Paris. We packed so much into our time & saw most of the sights.
We got there on Friday afternoon, checked in to our hotel, then walked along the River Seine over to the Eiffel Tower. The Tower just kept getting bigger and bigger the closer we got ... so much so that I almost chickened out of going right up to the top. But we did go right to the top & it was such an amazing view. We stayed up there for about two hours & ended up having dinner up there. The next day we did so much. We started the day off at the Louvre & saw the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, Psyche & Cupid (which I just loved) & so many other amazing pieces. The Louvre was just so amazing ... even the ceilings were so beautiful. Then we went to the Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, the Pantheon (well the French version anyway), this beautiful park called Jardin du Luxembourg, then went to the Moulin Rouge at night.... read more |
